HRCH UH Smoke's BLazing Red Buzzsaw SH x Birddog's Simply Irresistible "Freya"

When we purchased Buzz the idea of crossing him with Freya was there. Once we brought him home and seeing how well these two would complement each other, we have been very excited to make it happen!

These puppies will be the total package! Great pedigree that doesn’t contain the usual dogs you find in yellow/fox red pedigrees? How about big, beautiful dogs that will have WOW factor good looks and equally attractive temperaments?

These pups will have the drive in the field, yet should be able to turn it off in the home.

This combination comes with a very solid pedigree that doesn’t contain Grady or Snapper!

Freya is due around June 21st and the puppies will be ready in August when they turn 8 weeks old.

We are expecting a smaller litter, so want to wait and see what is born before accepting any more deposits. We are taking names to contact if there is any availability.

After searching for years to find the right fox red male to add to our home and breeding program, we found Buzz! Buzz is an absolutely beautiful dark fox red male that has been raised and trained by Carolyn Elam of Blazing Red Kennels. Buzz was raised in her home and loved as a member of the family. Buzz absolutely loves to work and hunt!! In 2024 he started his UKC hunt test career. Buzz is very calm and focused on the line, so much so that a 9 year old girl got to handle him in the started level. He quickly moved into running at the finished level and began earning the passes he needed for the HRCH title. Once the fall came, Buzz moved into being a pheasant guide dog for Carolyn all winter. He earned his HRCH title in the spring of 2025. Buzz also earned his Senior Hunter title in 2025. Buzz returned to being a guide dog for Carolyn that fall until he came home for a few months the winter of 2025. Buzz fit right in immediately and completely blew my mind how easily he adjusted to living here. In February of 2026, Buzz returned to Carolyn where he continued guiding and picked up his Upland Hunter title in one weekend. Buzz ran the Spring Grand but went out in the 1st series. Buzz is now starting to work on getting his Master Hunter title. We have not decided if Buzz will run the 2026 Fall Grand or if he will come home after getting his MH title. I can genuinely say that I miss him and look forward to bringing him home!

Freya is an absolutely gorgeous, slightly smaller version of her mother Remi! Freya is so very sweet and smart! She equally loves her field time as she does her cuddle time. Freya has a strong natural on/off to her. She is an absolute beast when it comes to training and hunting, yet when in the house she is calm. Freya also is a wonderful traveler and has joined me on many road trips across the country. She turns heads wherever she goes.
