NAFC FC Beaver runs Raymond for Sheriff
&
BiRDDOG'S Ebonstar Blast of Trinity SH "Kimber"
We have had our eyes on Big Ray for a long time, even before he became the 2023 National Amateur Field Champion!
We want to produce big, beautiful puppies that can go any direction! The goal is to produce puppies that will be perfect for various kinds of field work all the while being your best buddy in the home.
After much consideration, we decided that a cross between Raymond and Kimber would be the ideal cross and perfect for her final litter!
We drove Kimber down to Georgia for this extra special breeding! She is due around March 26th and the puppies will be ready to go around May 21st (whenever they turn 8 weeks old).
We will create a wait list now, but won’t accept deposits until the pregnancy is ultrasound confirmed.
NAFC FC Beaver Run's Raymond for Sheriff
Raymond is a big beautiful black male that has a performance record that speaks for itself! He is the 2023 winner of the National Amateur Retriever Championship!
Raymond’s owner Leigh describes Raymond as a big goofball! He is very expressionistic and overall just a big happy boy. He lives in the house and sleeps on the bed every night. He has a great off switch in the house and goes to work with Leigh. Raymond turns on the turbo charge when it comes to training and competing. He LOVES it!
Raymond is a son of Hall of Fame Retriever FC AFC Lane’s Lets Get Ready to Rumble “Ali” and Canadian Field Champion CFC Pilkington’s Perspicacity “Cassie”. Cassie comes from a strong proven performance line that is a little different than the typical field trial pedigree found in the USA. We have had our eyes on Cassie’s pedigree for years. She is a littermate to two other Canadian Field Champions as well as AFC Sidney Down The Bayou “Gator”. Those that have followed Bird Dog Labs for years, may recognize “Gator” as the stud we had originally selected for our Remi’s very first litter. That breeding unfortunately did not take, but we have always kept that lineage in the back of our mind. Because of that line, we have had our eyes on Raymond long before he won this year’s NAFC title. Raymond’s ability to perform is undeniable! He qualified and has ran in 4 National Retriever Championships (2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023). In 2021 he was a NRC Finalist. Raymond ran and won the 2023 National Amateur Retriever Championship. He is qualified to run the NARC in 2024!

70-75 pounds
Kimber was the first female puppy we bought in over 9 years! She had some pretty big shoes to fill and has never disappointed. Kimber is a natural in the field and absolutely loves the water! Kimber has proven to have a wonderful work ethic and strong retrieving desire. She has a huge desire to please and is quick to learn. Kimber earned her Senior Hunter titled by going 5/5. We know she could have easily earned a Master title, but decided to stop at the Senior. The reason for that decision is because I missed her and wanted to have her home. Kimber is an absolute joy to be around. Everyone that meets her loves her! Kimber is very affectionate and loves to be with no matter what is going on. She is calm and not clingy or needy. Kimber takes everything in stride and has traveled across country on multiple occasions. The fact that she is beautiful is purely a bonus!
Kimber is a direct daughter of FC AFC Teddy’s Ebonstar James “Jamie”. Jamie was an extremely talented dog at a very young age. He earned his QAA at 20 months, earned his AFC before his 3rd birthday, earned his FC as a 3 year old. Jamie was the youngest dog to run the 2000 NARC. He was a National Finalist in 2001 and 2002. Jame has 13 Derby points and 70 AA points. Jamie tragically died at 5 years of age due to a bacterial infection picked up from birds. Jamie is a significant sire of HRC titled offspring and was known for producing trainable, talented dogs that also had wonderful dispositions. Jamie is a son of 2xNAFC 2xCNAFC Ebonstar Lean Mac and an HRCH/MH titled daughter of FC AFC Riparian Roughrider. Kimber’s mother was a beautiful dog that excelled at the hunt test game. She was inducted into the Master National Hall of Fame and passed that Master National 4 times. Her line included some very well known hunting/hunt test dogs in Minnesota. This includes GMHR Ramers Instant Cash Machine MH NBDCA HOF and 2001 US Open Pheasant Champion GMPR MHR Rik’s Risky Raider MH (APLA Hall of Fame).
